Conan walked around the zoo near the Reptile display case, dimly lights shown overhead as the genius detective stuck in a child's body keeping a sharp eye out here for anything out of the usual as he looked around. It was night and everyone else had gone home, he was the only person here, even the Security Guards were gone as he had made it that way as he didn't want any distractions.

The Zoo had recently gotten some new animals and exhibits from India having been brought over. However while most had been setup into their new homes without a problem there was one that confused the security guards as it always seemed to be getting loose.

It was a giant brown python that had been brought over from India and somehow it had been able to get out of its display case. There wasn't any holes or cracks big enough for him to fit in as they had double checked the security and it was impenetrable or so it seemed. A security camera had revealed that the guard was doing so letting him out but the guard in question claimed he didn't understand how he was doing so, he wasn't drunk or anything. Just whenever he got to it he felt something come over him and tell him to unlock the case enabling the Python to get free. He'd get captured by the others soon enough but it was still a mystery how he was getting out. This couldn't be happening when kids or others was around as that would create a panic as he had yet to be put on display in public so any unfortunate incidents didn't happen.

The Video had showed him examining the new Reptile's case for a few minutes and then suddenly opening it and walking away with a blank look on his face. The security guard had sworn he wasn't drinking or anything, he just looked at it to see that everything was alright and then he couldn't remember anything else

Conan had told them to leave and to let the snake's case be unlocked so he could get out. He had a walkie talkie with him so he could contact them from afar should he see anything

He made his way to the reptile display and the room where it was being kept at. He looked and saw that the case was open and he nodded as it had already gotten out by the look of it. (Its around here somewhere and close by the looks of it.) Conan thought to himself as it couldn't have been too long for it to have gotten out.

He looked around for any scene when he saw out of the corner of his eye something dart past through the room. (Bingo!) He said and whipped around and saw it disappear around the corner. Moving he ran after it, not yet calling into the Walkie Talkie as he wanted more information first. If they came in now panic would ensue and the Snake would either attack one of them or try to escape.

He chased after it, there wasn't many places it could hide as the door was shut and he there was no vents or holes for the Snake to escape too. He went

Unknown to the boy, the snake's tail was approaching him from behind and nearing his feet. Suddenly he felt something trip him up from behind and he fell and landed on his back with a thud. The brace of the surprise impact stunned him as his glasses fell off his face.

Conan opened his eyes and saw several multiple colors staring right back at him. Colors of blue and green, and yellow staring him in the eyes. His eyes widened and his pupils slowly started to dim and shrink as he stared into the manipulative colors and he felt something coming over him.

"Well, well, what have we here?" A voice said the owner of the colors a smile on his face. "It's a man cub, a delicious man cub." The python said to him. Kaa the name of the python had been captured back in his homeland of India and had been bought off and sent and shipped to this strange new place, The Snake had been placed in his new home and discovered there was many humans here, hundreds if not thousands of them here. Using his hypnosis he had tricked the guard into letting him loose before but he had been caught and put back in much to his irritation by the others. What luck that tonight he was able to get out without having to hypnotize one of them so he could escape and even better luck that he discovered a Man Cub in the room.

Conan tried to struggle but the python began wrapping him up first by his legs binding them together with his tail and then going his way up with his coils to entangle and trap him. He began to feel weak as well at what was happening to him.

"Look me in the eye, both eyes if you please." Kaa said with a smile as the two were face to face. Conan stared into them as he found himself unable to move his body. He struggled with his arms to loosen the coils but Kaa gave him a squeeze and he cried out in pain.

Conan's eyes began reflecting the colors as he stared into the eyes, he tried to struggle and pull away but couldn't move as he felt himself being crushed by the reptile's scales. As the seconds past he felt his resistance dying down as his mind was flooded with the colors and spirals coming from his eyes. His arms slumped down to his side no longer struggling to try and break the hold.

Conan felt himself becoming weaker and weaker until…

Ping! Conan's mind went back as he stared with a dopey smile on his face no longer struggling the coils continued to wrap him up from head to toe, only his feet and head was sticking out of them.

Kaa wrapped up the hapless detective in his coils wrapping him tightly so there would be no escape from him, tightening him and making it a bit hard for him to breathe. Conan couldn't do anything as he was hypnotized and coiled up and felt gasps of breathe coming harder to get with each passing second. His body was lifted up into the air as he stared at the python who licked and smacked his lips in anticipation at this tasty morsel.

"You'll be a most delicious supper!" As Kaa prepared to open his mouth to enjoy his meal a pocket pen fell out of Conan's shirt and hit the ground and the force caused a bright light to appear from  and hit the python directly in his eyes. The Snake's body went limp all of a sudden and his coils loosened suddenly and his eyes turned back to their normal yellow as the light shone into them.

Conan felt his vision returning to normal and his mind clearing up as well and after finding his glasses he looked and saw that Kaa just sat there he wasn't doing anything. He then saw his pen and the flashlight that was installed in it flashing into his eyes

(Snakes don't have eyelids, so they can't do anything if a light flashes into their eyes) Conan realized to himself as Kaa just sat there the light from his pen going into his eyes. He got an arm loose and reached over and picked it up.

The Detective quickly untangled himself from the coils making sure to keep shining the light into his eyes so he couldn't do anything. If Kaa got loose he didn't think he'd be able to get away this time.

"Now then, how to get him back in his pen?" He said setting the pen down so it shined into his eyes and brought his hand up to his chin and examined his surroundings. He looked around the room and saw a mirror which caught his interest. Grinning he got an idea on how to catch this tricky reptile.

Kaa felt the light come out of his eyes and the snake shook his head wondering what just happened and realized there was nothing in his scales and looked and saw that the boy had disappeared. He looked and searched around his coils wondering how he disappeared all of a sudden, the only thing he could remember was he was about to put him in his mouth and eat him when that strange light hit him directly in the face. Where was he? How did he get away?

"Hey!" A voice shouted and he turned and saw Conan standing there in front of a mirror smiling at him.

"I got you this time my little snack!" Kaa said and slithered over to him. "No escape this time!" He said and his eyes changed colors looking to hypnotize the smiling boy. He grinned as he stared at him face to face.

However for some reason the boys eyes weren't changing, this confused the Snake and he frowned and enhanced the hypnosis. But still nothing happened and the boy's smile seemed to be mocking him!

Scowling he enhanced it to its most powerful state which would hypnotize an elephant and stop it in its tracks! But still nothing appeared to be happening to him much to his annoyance.

As it went on Kaa slowly felt something come over him, his mind started to feel emptier by the second, as if something was coming over him. It wasn't making any sense to him but still he continued trying to hypnotize him.

His mind became weaker and weaker until…

Ping!

He stood there the same dopey grin Conan previously had on his face having been hypnotized by his own trick.

"Well that settles that," Conan said stepping into view from a hallway as the mirror had reflected his image from it. The Snake's Hypnosis waves had bounced off the mirror and onto him, thus turning the Python's own weapon against him.

"Now let's get you back in your pen and make sure you can't get out again." Conan said having had enough of him and his hypnosis abilities. He got the Walkie Talkie out and radioed in the others to come get him.

A week later…

Things had returned to normal at the zoo, Conan with an Ice Cream in hand looked on from afar at Kaa's display case as a group of children and their parents watched on. A mirror surrounded the case and he smirked as he watched Kaa go up to them and activated his hypnosis unknowingly hypnotizing himself again as the children laughed at him. He still hadn't figured out that the Mirror was reflecting his hypnosis back at him. He was being Hoist by his own Petard so to speak. After catching him and putting him back in his pen he told the owners how to subdue him and keep him from getting out by setting up mirrors so that whenever he tried to hypnotize someone he would only wind up getting himself instead as they reflected it back at him.

Now he could be seen by the visitors or the zoo and wouldn't endanger them and he was proving to be quite popular with children.

"Case closed." He said as Kaa stood there with a blank look on his face.
