Bartz was cutting his way through the Jungle, sword in hand as he made his way. Cutting down vines and debris as he made a path through it as he was by himself. Going back to his habits of wandering the land ever since the destruction of ExDeath. Although his friends had asked him to stay with him, his wanderer’s lust had set in again as there was still much of the world he hadn’t witnessed or seen for himself and so he was on his way. The Hero traveling throughout the land looking for new sights and locations that had never been seen before.

He continued to cut his way through when he stopped at a clearing and wiped the sweat off of his brow as he looked around at the Jungle Scenery. What beauty it was, and to think it had almost be destroyed along with everything else. He shuddered to think of what would’ve happened if they hadn’t stopped ExDeath and what he would’ve done to the entire world.

Bartz looked around as he spotted a pair of monkeys leaping through the trees and smiled glad he had decided to come here instead of staying home. This is the reason why he traveled the world, cause he would never see anything like it if he stayed in one spot.

As he looked around his ears suddenly detected a humming noise catching his attention. He looked around a bit surprised as it sounded like a human voice. He checked around but didn’t see anybody.

“Is someone there?” He said outloud a grip on his sword as he had knew their was monsters that could echo and imitate human sounds and lure unsuspecting people to their doom. He listened closely as he faintly heard the humming sound.

Cautiously he began to make his way towards it, a grip on his blade just in case there was trouble ahead.

As he went the humming got louder and it sounded like a female voice as well. He continued to go heading in the direction of it his curiosity peaked wondering just who it was that was causing it. He kept a sharp eye out for monsters but saw none as it appeared there was none in the area.

He continued to go and he was able to hear the humming clearly, a happy tune it sounded like. As if it was one of somebody at play.

He came to a Cliffside and he perched on top of a nearby rock and looked around. He didn’t see anything but heard it and he looked around and saw down by the water of the River a creature that was responsible for the humming.

The creature had the upper body of a female, her appearance similar to that of a Teenager and she had purple hair that reached down to her back and matching purple eyes as well. But while she had the appearance of a human from her waist up downward it was revealed that she had a long snake like blue lower body with a tail as well. A Lamia, that was what she was called. A type of monster he and the others had fought before. Most of them were nasty and vicious looking to kill and eat them but this one seemed different as she didn’t appear to be like most of them. A smile was on her face and her back was to him as she didn’t appear to know he was spying on her as she was washing her tail in the water.

Bartz looked at her wondering what he should do. Should he go and leave her alone? Or should he confront her? She could be a threat as most monsters he had faced had a kill first don’t bother with the questions attitude.

As he was looking the rock he was perched on began to slip due to his added weight.

“Whoa!” He shouted as it lodged loose and he fell and landed in the water with a loud splash.

“Huh?” The Lamia said in surprise hearing it and she turned and looked as she saw Bartz get up out of the water soaking wet.

“Great! I probably swallowed a fish right now!” He exclaimed as he was drenched to the bone as he pulled himself up as water dripped off of him.

“Who are you?” She said looking at him with curiosity in her eyes. Bartz lifted his head and saw her and defensively backed up.

“Stay back.” He said as he got out of the water keeping an eye on here and got on the shore.

The Lamia looked at him and smiled and slithered forward a bit amusement in her eyes as she studied him. It had been quite a while since she had seen a human here.

“What’s your name?” She said to him looking at him. He frowned at her wondering what her game was as he sensed that she was trying to lull him into dropping his guard.

“Bartz,” He responded to her. “You are a Lamia, that I can tell.”

“What are you doing here?” She asked him as she looked at him.

“I’m a traveler.” He said to her. “I’m stopping here on my journey.”

“Oh a visitor,” She said excitement in her eyes. “It’s been so long since I’ve had company and guests.” She said with a smile slithering forward so that she was closer to him. It felt uncomfortable to Bartz at how close she was. “We must get to know each other better if you’re going to stay here for a while.” She said to him

“Stay back!” He said drawing his sword out surprising her and she backed away. “Don’t come any closer, I’ll use this if I have it.” He warned her pointing his sword at her threatening to skewer her with it.

Most monsters response would be to growl at him and attack him then and now, but to Bartz surprise instead of doing that she looked shocked and sad at what he just did.

“What are you doing?” She yelled at him. “Why are you threatening me?!” She said as hurt appeared in her eyes and tears started to form in them surprising Bartz that she would act this way. “Are you really going to kill me?” She said sounding choked up at what he had done.

“Huh?” He said in confusion and surprise at how she was acting, most monsters would be attacking right now and he’d be in the midst of battle fighting for his life against them but she seemed shocked at what he did just now threatening her with his sword. Her sniffles grew and she appeared ready to break into tears over what he had done.

“How could you be so mean?” The Lamia wailed covering her face with her hands as she sobbed her back to him, her shoulders hunched over as she cried not looking at him. “I wasn’t going to hurt you!!” She said as she cried.

Bartz winced as he heard her cry, a pang of guilt going through his body over what he had done. He hadn’t meant to hurt her, he didn’t mean to do something like that to the creature. Regret went through his body as he felt like Scum after making her cry the way he did as he felt terrible what he just did. Just because she was a monster didn’t mean she was evil. He had seen numerous beings that weren’t evil just cause of the way they looked and now he was judging her before he even knew her. For all he knew she was like she appeared to be nice and friendly and he had gone and made her cry just for judging her without even thinking twice of who she was. People had done the same to him with him being a Nomad most of his life, and now he had gone and done the same to her that had been done to him.

Putting his sword away back in its sheath, Slowly he walked over to her and put a hand on her shoulder which she turned away from recoiling from his touch, that made him feel even worse as he winced as he listened to her cry.

“I’m sorry,” He said to her. “I didn’t mean to hurt you, I was only trying to defend myself cause I thought you meant me harm.” He said as he listened to her sob which made him feel worse. She refused to look at him her hands covering her face her head down hiding it from him not letting him see her.

“Please, forgive me.” He said to her moving around. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make you cry. Please stop crying.” He said to her as he faced her pleading with her to stop as he couldn‘t bear to hear the sound of her crying. He wanted to make it up to her, who knows? He might even become friends with her.

She removed her hands and slowly lifted her head up to face him.

To reveal her eyes glowing with spirals…

Bartz didn’t have time to react as he stared into them and she wrapped her long tail around him to hold him in place. A smile was on her face as not a tear was on her eyes or face as she had feigned crying and acting like she was hurt in order to get him to drop his guard and so when he got in close she could ensnare him. Giggling she laughed at him as he had fallen for it, she honestly didn’t think he’d be that foolish to get so close to her and allow her to use her powers on him. Using her hypnotic powers to bring him under her control.

Bartz stared helplessly into the Lamia’s eyes as his own eyes changed matching the colors and spirals of her own. She wrapped her coils and tail around him and cupped his face with her hands the two faces inches apart. She grinned as she looked on at the Hero who foolishly fell for her ploy falling right into it.

She playfully stroked his head with her tail running it through his brown hair as her eyes had returned to their normal blue color. She snickered as he was helpless before her.

Grinning she kissed him and inserted her tongue into his mouth kissing her slave as he was under her command. Bartz didn’t move or struggle as he was under her control and helpless to resist or try to fight her off.

Pulling away the Lamia grinned as she looked on at her slave.

“Now then,” She said to the hypnotized Bartz. “As I was saying, let’s get to know each other a bit more shall we?” She asked him.

“Yes,” He responded dully to her with obedience.

Grinning she kissed him again The Lamia planning on getting to now her new slave very well.

A special request done for Pronon1990 who wanted a story with Bartz from FFV and a Lamia. If you can, go give him some support cause of the flooding that happened in Colorado.
