“Hey guys, check this out—it’s Perseus holding Medusa’s head! Alix Kubdel stated as her fellow students of Collège Françoise Dupont oohed and ahhed at the statue, depicting the titituar warrior holding up the snarling head of the female beast. All except for one Lila Rossi, who tried her best to hide her bored and annoyed expression. Why did the field trip have to be on a museum for this junk—it was just some old story from Greece that no one believed in anymore. Why did anyone bother learning about it? Especially when there were real superheroes fighting real monsters that everyone knew about? And more importantly, why wasn’t she the subject of such adoration and discussion? After all, she had been both monster and hero, had brought hope and terror to Paris. Even if no one knew it was her all along as Volpina, she still did far more than some made-up champion. She had to bring attention back to herself—but how? Historical and mythological information was harder to fake, so she
