TenTen's New Experience

“I don’t see anything.” A voice said as a pair of figures were at the site they had traveled to and looked around.

“We just got here, I doubt it’d be right there in front of us as soon as we walk in.” A second voice said as the two were spotted inside the remains of an old temple

The first was a blonde boy with blue eyes wearing an red and black outfit who had a loud personality and tendency to not stay focused for more than a few minutes.

The second was a girl who had her brown hair in twin buns style and was wearing a white long sleeved shirt with reddish brown pants.

Naruto Uzumaki and TenTen had journeyed and come to the place, the two ninjas being sent there by The Hokage.

They were at The Land of Water, the two having been assigned there for a mission to explore the ruins of an old temple having journeyed there to see if they could find anything of note there. Around the place was gaps of water that had bridges over them, some of which were broken.

“What are we looking for again?” Naruto asked bringing his arms lazily behind his head a bored look on his face.

TenTen rolled her eyes as she suspected him to not have paid any attention at all during the briefing they had received and had zoned out. “We’re here on a reconnaissance mission Naruto, this place has fallen into decay and it’ll be a matter of time before no one will be able to get.” She explained to the blonde telling him. “We’re suppose to look for anything interesting and bring it back so that it can be preserved in Konoha, that’s why we’re here. There could be some valuable artifacts from ages ago we could find here.” TenTen told Naruto.

“Well then let’s not waste anymore time gawking and let’s find it.” Naruto said bringing his arms out. “Last one to find something is an Academy repeater!” He shouted and ran off before TenTen could say anything to get him to stop.

“Hey-wait up! I swear he’ll never lose that energy he has.” She said in a snarky tone seeing him disappear out of sight. “Oh well, let’s see if I can find anything here.” She said as The Weapons Expert went on and looked around to see if she could find anything that they could bring back to Konoha from here to preserve.

“Doesn’t seem to be anything here.” She mused looking around after an hour as she had checked some rooms that she could have access to. Most of the area was inaccessible due to the poor state that it was in leaving her unable to get inside or cutting off what she could get in. “I wonder if Naruto’s having any better luck than me.” TenTen said as she hadn’t seen or heard from him since he had ran off on his own to look.

She checked an empty hallway when she suddenly felt something coming from the wall. “Hmm?” She said as it caught her interest and she felt against it and felt air coming from it, indicating that it was hiding something. Smirking she got out a kunai and jammed it into the part where the air was coming from and with a bit of effort managed to make the wall turn revealing a secret room.

“Ha!” She said a grin on her face as she walked in and saw something on a pedestal. “I knew there’d be something here.” She said as she stepped forward and examined what it was. There was a pool of water around the place as well that was deep as she couldn’t see the bottom.

She saw what was on the pedestal. It was a sculpture. A stone carving of what appeared to be a fish that was seated on it. TenTen looked on ahead at it. “I wonder how old this thing is?” She mused looking on at it. She looked on at the fish like sculpture and reached out and picked it up off the pedestal examining it.

She took hold of it and felt something coming over her suddenly. “Huh?” She said confusion in her eyes as she looked on at it and the fish like object began to glow catching her by surprise. “What’s going on?” She said as the jeweled object continued to shine and she felt something happening to her body. TenTen winced as she felt a sharp pain in her legs as the glow continued on as if they were joining together it felt like and she fell to the ground clutching it.

“Naruto!” She called out and he was fortunately nearby and heard it and rushed to the room where she was at and saw what was going on.

“What the?!” Naruto shouted outloud seeing what was happening and how it was affecting her and rushed towards her. “TenTen hang on!” Naruto threw a cloth over it cutting off the light preventing it from shining on either him or her. Grasping the knotted cloth tightly he threw it into the water where it sank below.

“That was a close one,” He said taking a deep breath. “Whatever that thing is, it should be at the bottom of the ocean than in the hands of someone who could misuse it. You okay TenTen?” He said and turned his head to look at her but didn’t see her. “TenTen, TenTen where you at?” He said and looked around for her. He heard a shuffling nose and thought he saw something moving out of the corner of his eye. “TenTen’s what’s gotten into you?” He said and rounded the corner of a column in the room and his eyes shut open wide at what he saw.

“TenTen? Whoa, what the heck happened to you?” Naruto said as he looked on with wide blue eyes at TenTen as something had happened to her.

“I…I don’t know.” TenTen said as she looked on as her legs had vanished as instead she had a brown fin and tail. The pants she had worn having also disappeared as well. “I don’t know what’s happened to me. Something happened when the light hit me and now I’m like this!” She proclaimed to him as she had been transformed, her legs no longer there as she was a cross of a human and a fish it seemed like. “I’m not human anymore, I’m a, I’m a…”

“Mermaid?” Naruto said as that was what it reminded him of, the form she was in right now.

“I can’t walk, I can barely sit up straight.” TenTen said as she attempted to do so and had to be careful not to lose balance. “I don’t know what to do, I’ve lost my legs and all my agility and movement.”

“Well Mermaids from what I’ve seen on cartoons are aquatic creatures so you’re out of your element.” Naruto said to her. “That thing you had must turn whoever touches it into a Mermaid or something like that.” He said. “I don’t think you’ll be able to be going out on any missions in your current state.” He told her and TenTen looked on at her fin.

“Great so there goes my career as a ninja.”

“Well it’s not the end of the world, look at the bright side, you never have to worry about drowning from here on.” Naruto said trying to cheer her up and TenTen shot him through the heart with The Laser Eye Beams Jutsu, or at least she would’ve, if she knew that move. She had to settle with a glare instead.

“Not funny Naruto.” She told him at her predicament. “What if I never change back? I’ll have to live inside a fish tank from here on out!” TenTen said in a hysterical tone.

“Easy,” Naruto said holding his hands out before her trying to calm her down before she went into hysterics. “I’m sure it’ll wear off eventually, if not I’m sure Tsunade could change you back.” He said to TenTen as her form sorta reminded him of a mission he had went on at The Land of Sea when he was younger.

“I hope so.” TenTen murmured

“There’s a channel of water that you can go in, I’m sure you could swim in it and meet up with me outside. There we’ll figure out a way to get back home while you’re like this.”

“Another thing…” TenTen said and she blushed a bit. “There’s something I have to confess.”

“Oh?” Naruto said looking on at her as it was unlike her to act that way.

“Promise me you won’t laugh.” She said and he nodded his head confirming he wouldn’t. “I…don’t know how to swim.”

“What?!” Naruto said and started laughing outloud clutching his stomach as TenTen fumed in anger. “You’re in a mermaid form and you don’t even know how to swim?” He said as he laughed.

“It’s not funny!” TenTen shouted at him her face burning as he continued to laugh. “I’ve never gotten the chance or bothered to learn how to as I didn’t spend any time at the lake or beaches.” She said to him.

“Geez TenTen, you think Gai would’ve had you do a thousand laps a day or something.” He said to her shocked that she didn’t know how to swim at all.

“Well he didn’t!” TenTen snapped at Naruto not liking him laughing at her.

“Okay, I’m sorry I laughed.” Naruto said apologizing to her as he didn‘t mean to upset her just now. “Might as well help you out, it’s the least I could do. Because you can’t really do anything on land, unless you want me to carry you.”

“Just help me out so I can learn what I’m suppose to do like this.” TenTen said as she hated the thought of him carrying her all the way back, she prided herself on her skill and being able to handle herself and hated the thought of being in such a helpless state that someone would have to carry her.

“Ok then, let’s head to the water then.” Naruto said motioning to a pool nearby and TenTen crawled towards it and fell in and appeared with the water above her waistline. Naruto joined her in it as he got in as well.

The two began to work on swimming in the water as Naruto aided her in getting used to her new form that she now had. In land she’d be all but useless, but in the water now that she had a mermaid like form, she could have a great advantage over others if she could get used to the transformed state she was now in, she’d be a deadly force.

TenTen quickly got the basics of swimming down pat as Naruto taught her and she experienced going underwater, now no longer having to worry about coming up to air as she had gills so she could stay under there for as long as she wanted. Naruto joined her underwater, sending chakra into his lungs so to enable him to stay under as well without having to continuously come up for oxygen and watch her as she swam around.

She’d gotten the hang of it and seemed to have developed a grace at doing so, he noted looking on as she swam easily against the water. Not having any problem with moving as she swished her tail to have extra momentum as she swam a smile growing on her face.

He came up for some air surfacing above as his head poked out of the water. TenTen soon appeared as well emerging from the depths.

“I see you’re getting the hang of this now.” Naruto said to her as they floated in the water together.

“Yeah,” TenTen replied to him as she shifted in the water. One of her hair buns had come partially undone and she frowned and went to put it back into place.

“Here,” Naruto said to her stopping her from doing so and reached out and undid her buns letting TenTen’s hair fall out. Looking on he noticed that he had never before seen TenTen with her hair down before as it reached down to her shoulders and was in the water. Now that he thought of it, he didn’t think anyone even in her own team had as she always had it in her usual bun style “Easier for you to swim that way.” He told her quickly so that she didn’t notice him staring at her long hair.

“What now?” TenTen asked.

“Let’s stay here for a while, there might be some stuff here. Plus you could also get used to your new form and maybe find something underwater here.” Naruto said to TenTen who nodded her head agreeing with him.

The two continued on staying there for a while enjoying each other’s company as well as Tenten was glad and happy that someone like Naruto was with her for this. She didn’t know how she’d react or what to do if she had been here just by herself when it happened as he had helped calmed her down and get used to her Mermaid state after the sculpture had done it. Naruto despite his antics, always seemed to know a way to help people and make them smile when they’ve been sad.

That was why he had gotten so many friends. He always could brighten up people she realized.

She smiled at him and he smiled back at her as they looked on at each other. Enjoying each other’s company and time together with one another during this. Making her forget about her state.

“There doesn’t look to be anything here as I wasn’t able to find anything underwater or any secret rooms below.” TenTen said to him hours later. “And its probably good if we leave that artifact here as who knows what’ll happen if people in Konoha find it.”

“Yeah, good idea.” Naruto said looking on at her.

“I’m going to take a look around, a final look, then we’ll try to get home.” TenTen said to him and he nodded in understanding and she dove back underwater.

Naruto floated there in the water, feeling the coolness of it. He sat there as he ran his hands gently through the water and shut his eyes as he was in a relaxed state.

He wasn’t paying any attention as suddenly there was a splashing sound making his eyes open as something emerged in front of him.

That something was TenTen as she appeared in front of him catching him off guard at her surprise appearance and she suddenly wrapped her arms around him and kissed him square on the lips.

His eyes were wide and in shock at what had just happened, having not expected this outcome as she was kissing him.

TenTen’s lips were on his on as Naruto was experienced being kissed by TenTen just now. His eyes slowly shut and he began to return the kiss as well as he began kissing her back their lips meshing against one another’s as they did so. A soft moan escaped TenTen’s throat as he engaged her as she smiled pleasantly as she had not expected him to react in such a way as for someone like Naruto to be an instant expert when it came to kissing.

Naruto opened his mouth and their tongues began to engage one another.

TenTen wrapped her tail around him as she kissed him and Naruto wrapped his arms around, settling on where her waist would be at as the two in the water were unaware of anything else.

She was enjoying it as much as he was as the two floated there, not wanting to break apart for anything. Just wanting to stay like this for as long as they wanted.

TenTen’s tail began to glow and shifted as they suddenly changed back to legs, as the effect of it was only temporary and the time limit on it had ended thus restoring her back to her human form.

Neither noticed it happened or cared as they were too absorbed with what was happening between them as she wrapped her legs around his waist as they floated there and continued to kiss one another in the water.
